Glad yo gained about a GB of disk space after rebooting. Keep in mind that the VM will grow as you add programs and data.
While your thread concerniong disk is clear I was confused by the interleaving of the two posts. I suppose this is natural in a way when your VMs seem to be suffereing multiple failure modes.
